Restart a Heart is a designated yearly day of action with the aim to teach vital life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible. This year, they aim to train over 200,000 people.
Children at Waddesdon Village Primary School were visited by the NHS ambulance service and given the opportunity to learn life-saving CPR - we are 1 out of 10 schools taking part in Buckinghamshire.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and now understand the importance of bystander CPR.
Class One had their Gruffalo Theme Day today to celebrate all their hard work. In the morning, we made model Gruffalos, wrote letters to the Gruffalo and baked 'Warty' and 'Purple Prickle' cupcakes.
During the afternoon, we iced our cupcakes, participated in a quiz and celebrated our fantastic writing with a Gruffalo afternoon tea! The cakes were so yummy.
The Gruffalo was asked to select five of his favourite character descriptions but, they were all amazing so he chose all of them.
Well done Class One, what a fabulous first half term we've had!
On Thursday 11th October 2018, the children at Waddesdon Village Primary School celebrated harvest time.
Children in Year 5 shared a very special assembly with the school and their parents which included poetry (linking to National Poetry Week), singing and factual information.
Parents and children, from the school, were very generous in donating produce that we were able to sell at the end of the school day.
Food was donated to the Vineyard Church in Aylesbury and hampers of produce will be donated to the Wednesday Club in the village.
Thank you for your continued support.
