  • World Book Day

    Fri 03 Mar 2017
    On Thursday the 2nd of March, Waddesdon Village Primary school took part in World Book Day! The children had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite characters from their favourite books. During the day all the activities were based around books: writing books, drawing book covers and much more. Near to the end of the day, Parents were allowed to come in to read with their child/children along with the delicious tea coffee and cakes. One of the many activities was the book swap, where the children could bring in unwanted books and swap them for something new. We asked some children what is their favourite books and Alex in class R said , " Peter Rabbit."  On the other hand, Antanina in class 1 said, " Moana".  One of the most exciting prizes was "Best Dressed" teachers could choose one child from their class that will be the winner. The winner got a 5 pounds book voucher!

    POOL A:

    Brill = 3.5 points

    Long Crendon 1 = 11.5 points

    Twyford = 6.5 points

    Marsh = 2.5 points

    POOL B:

    Ickford = 7.5 points

    Long Crendon 2 = 4.5 points

    Waddesdon = 11 points

    Whitchurch = 0 points

    Having won our pool we went through to the final to play against Long Crendon where we managed to capture a 2-0 victory. The team played really well and showed some real sportsmanship throughout the tournament and should be really proud of themselves.

    Well done guys!
