We have had such a mixed year of weather but it is so exciting to see vegetables growing! We have lots of onions, some radishes, carrots and courgettes that we have dug up. There are still potatoes, tomatoes and strawberries growing. The courgettes, now marrows are huge! One of them is 41 cm long! Thank you to George, Lewis and Liam in Class 2 who have spent many lunchtimes this term weeding and making the courtyard look lovely. Also, a big thank you to Finlay's Grandad (from Class 2) who has given us many things from his allotment to grow and Mrs Fowler (Class 2) who bought us lots of flowers and seeds. The children are working hard to keep them hydrated in the hot sun.
Class 2 enjoyed their very own Australia Day yesterday where they made boomerangs, fairy bread, damper bread and Anzac biscuits. Some tried vegemite on their damper bread. They also painted pictures in the style of Aboriginal paintings.
