We provide hot school meals, freshly cooked on site by Fresh Start Catering, who provide a tasty, varied menu, using fresh ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible.

Fresh Start Catering are passionate about the food they supply, they believe it is critical to provide healthy, nutritious and exciting food. Their menus are analysed and approved by the Children’s Food Trust and have achieved the Silver Food for Life Award.

The children have a choice of four main courses, to be ordered in advance: main, vegetarian, deli selection and a “safe option” of either jacket potato or pasta, all accompanied by choices from a salad bar. For dessert, children choose on the day, either dessert of the day or organic yoghurt and fresh fruit is offered with both options. Fresh bread is baked at school each day.

The cost of the meals is £2.70 per day for Key Stage 2 pupils and free for those in Key Stage 1. Parents need to order and pay for the meals directly with Fresh Start, using their bespoke “Meal Manager” system. Parents are able to order from the full menu weekly or termly, orders need to be made the Thursday before and payments will be automatically calculated.  Orders can be changed up until the Thursday before.  If you miss the Thursday deadline, you can still order a meal up until 9am on the day the meal is required, however, this will be from a reduced menu.
