Welcome to Class 4!
Mrs Broomhead, Mrs Smith and Mrs Arnaud
Hello Class 4. I hope you are enjoying the snow and I expect to see many photos of attempted snowmen tomorrow! (Feel free to email me photos of these attempts!) I have missed you all greatly but I am feeling much better and am ready to tackle the last full week of school in 2017 with you!
Work I would like you to look at on Monday:
Literacy: This week we will be looking at fronted adverbials and their uses within a sentence.
Watch the video: http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/zp937p3
Can you highlight the fronted adverbials in part 2? Tell me tomorrow which ones were the fronted adverbials!
Maths: This week we are looking at measurements of money! So I would like you to try and play these two money games tomorrow.! (tablet/iphone friendly if you cannot access a PC),
Click Mixed Coins > £1-£10 and work out the change from each item.
Click Counting > Mixed Coins > Any 6 coins!
Extreme North Star Challenge: Miss Harding has £320 to spend for Class 4's Christmas party. She uses £56 for food and decorations. How much money is left?
Science: I would like you to research the functions of the organs involved in the digestive system. These can include-- The salivary gland, teeth, tongue, the esophagus, the stomach, the small intestine, the large intestine and the liver/gall bladder and of course the rectum/anus. What are their functions? Write a short sentence or on a sticky note the information you find.
Hope to see you all on Tuesday!
