  • Class 2's STEM week so far

    We are really enjoying STEM week. It is very busy: making posters on the iPads, flower bombs and a visit from Mrs McCormac. Today we made S'mores in solar ovens that we made. They really worked! We have enjoyed the sunshine working outdoors, making things out of recycled materials and have paper soaking in water ready for us to make some recycled paper tomorrow.  

  • STEM Week

    STEM week started off with a visit from Catherine the 'Science boffin' in assembly. We grew a hand, made elephant toothpaste and investigated ways to create circuits. Each class then enjoyed workshops with her throughout the morning.

  • Lamb visit to KS1

    Class R, 1 and 2 enjoyed a visit from two adorable lambs today! Thank you to Mr and Mrs Clark, Alex and George for bringing them in and letting us stroke your lambs. 

     

  • Class 1 and class 6 coding together

    Class 6 supported Class 1 with some entry-level coding this afternoon. They used the Bee Bot app on the iPads which helps children to improve their skills in directional language and programming through sequences of forwards, backwards, left and right 90 degree turns. Class 1 worked really hard and listened well to their class 6 friends.

  • Wild Flower Walk!

    This morning Class One took advantage of the sunshine and went on a wild flower walk. We identified a variety of different wild plants such as daisies, dandelions, brambles, stinging nettles and buttercups. We then recorded our results using a tally and counted the totals in groups of 5. 

  • Dragons have visited Waddesdon Village Primary School!

    Class One arrived at school this morning to find a dragon’s nest in the school library! We quickly investigated the crime scene and then created our own news pages to inform parents about today’s events!
