  • The Egg Drop - Science Club

    Wed 13 Mar 2019 Miss Forchione
    In Science Club this week, we had to create a container that would protect an egg from cracking. The children thought carefully about the materials that were available. We tested their designs by dropping the egg inside each container, from a height. Only 3 survived! Well done Lauren, Martha and Tom. We had a cracking time!

  • World Book Day

    World Book day had a Roald Dahl theme this year. It was great to see so many parents and children in school early for our reading breakfast today. Thank you for your efforts with costumes. The children looked great so it was difficult to choose the best costume in each class. Winners received a book token. We had a busy day with a Roald Dahl book character quiz in our house teams and other book day activities. The day ended in a book sale run by PAWS. 

  • Week 1 - Science Club

    Science club had their first session this week and we learned all about sneezing: why we sneeze; what happens when we sneeze; and how to stop the spread of germs. We conducted an experiment using 'sneeze bottles' and investigated how many germs spread when sneezing without covering our nose, sneezing covering our nose with our hand and sneezing in to a tissue.
