  • Class 1 themed day - 1950s

Thu 10 May 2018 Miss Forchione

Class 1 had an interesting, fun-filled day at school today!

To link with their current topic on 'Changes in history', the children came to school dressed as children from the 1950s. The classroom was set out in rows, they used chalk and black paper to do their work, timetables were chanted, they played old fashioned games, a visitor came to school to answer questions about the past, they drank milk from glass jars, watched black and white TV and danced to music. They were visited by the school nurse and were very good at standing up when the Headteacher entered the room!

They had a lot of fun learning about this period of time. Thank you to Mrs Ellis and Mrs Inkpen.
