Class 2 The Enchanted Wood

Today we enjoyed a morning in the Enchanted Wood. Some children came to school as characters from the book. We recreated the journey the characters took to find the Faraway Tree. We explored all the different types of trees in the Enchanted Wood and found lots of minibeasts! Then we travelled to the Land of Birthdays and made treats - pop cakes, toadstools, hedgehogs and jam tarts. We tasted some of Moon-Face's toffee and fresh lemonade. We got to do lots of activities that the characters did in the book. We had the extra treat of releasing the butterflies that we have been watching grow in class.
