The School Day at Waddesdon
The school operates a ‘soft start’ to the school day which serves to maximise the children’s learning experiences and provide them with a positive start to the day.
The school gates are open to pupils from 8.30am to 8.50am. A staff member is present and welcomes the children in to school.
At 8.50am the school gates close and the register is taken.
Morning session
8.50am to 11.45am (EYFS and KS1). A 15-minute morning break is taken during the morning session
8.50am to 12.30pm (KS2). A 15-minute morning break is taken during the morning session
Afternoon Session
12.45pm to 3.20pm (EYFS and KS1). A 15-minute afternoon break is taken during the afternoon session
1.30pm to 3.20pm (KS2)
The school day starts at 8.50am and ends at 3.20pm for all pupils. The total time this amounts to in a typical week is 32 hours and 30 minutes.
Breakfast Club
The school operates a breakfast club daily from 7.30am to 8.30am
After-school Club
An outside provider runs an after-school club daily from 3.20pm to 5.20pm
