Waddesdon Assessment Information

At Waddesdon Village Primary School we strive to ensure that all pupils reach their full potential and are supported and nurtured along their pathway to successful learning.

Throughout the academic year, teachers use a mixture of formative and summative assessment to assess pupils and identify any gaps in learning which are then addressed either in class or through an extra intervention. Since the COVID-19 pandemic extra support has been put in place to help pupils catch-up. For further information on this please see 'Catch-Up Premium' on the website.

Children are assessed against age related expectations for the time of the year and progress is tracked from the previous academic year and prior key stage.

Attainment:

GDS - Greater depth standard

EXS - Expected standard

WT - Working towards standard

- Below standard

Progress:

BTE - Better than expected progress

EXP - Expected Progress

- Below expected progress

Assessment and progress information will be shared with parents through parents evenings and end of year reporting.

School Performance Summary

In the section below you will find several statutory documents which report on the attainment and progress that pupils make whilst at Waddesdon Village Primary School.

Due to COVID19 and lockdown, there were no national assessments for primary school children in cohorts 2019- 2020 and 2020-2021. We of course have continued to assess and track pupil attainment and progress through our internal assessment system.

To help you find the information you require here is a list of what you will find in each of the documents.
